The KISA Personal Alarm is a light, comfortable device worn on your person. It alerts a family member when help is needed and can save lives
Our Personal Alarm is light enough to wear around your neck. It has built-in GPS tracking and automatic fall detection, giving you and your family the confidence to go about the day safely - at home, in the garden, or anywhere across Australia.

KISA gives you the ability to reach out in case of an emergency

Each KISA Personal Alarm has a built-in GPS Tracker and Fall Detection capability, allowing your client or loved one to live their lives confidently.

When in distress, the wearer only needs to press a button on the front panel of the KISA Personal Alarm. This will alert up to five nominated emergency contacts, who can promptly give the wearer the support they need.

Pressing the SOS button will sound a loud alarm and activate the device's loudspeaker. This allows the KISA user or the person who came to their aid to communicate with emergency services without losing focus on the individual in distress.

KISA Fall Detection will alert up to five contacts by text and voice call when a hard fall is detected. Those contacts can see the KISA Personal Alarm wearer’s location on Google Maps and talk to them through the personal alarm’s built-in speaker and microphone.
The MyKISA customer portal and MyKISA app are important parts of any family member or carer support toolkit
MyKISA allows authorised people access to their KISA account to update emergency numbers and access different services.
- The KISA GPS Tracker allows you to find the location of the KISA Personal Alarm wearer if they have gone wandering and can help you determine patterns of behaviour.
- By utilising the KISA Reminders service, you can help the KISA user remember to participate in essential daily activities, like taking medication or locking the door at night.
- If remembering to charge the KISA Personal Alarm is a hurdle, you can choose to send low-battery notifications to carers or nominated contacts, so you’ll always be reminded when it needs to be charged.

Common Questions About the KISA Personal Alarm
Does the KISA Personal Alarm work outside the home?
Yes. The KISA Personal Alarm has a built-in SIM card and runs on the 4G mobile network, so it works wherever there is mobile coverage - at home, in the garden, out shopping, or visiting family. It is worn on a lanyard around the neck and is designed to go where the person goes, rather than being limited to the range of a home base station.
Does the alarm contact a monitoring centre or family directly?
The KISA Personal Alarm contacts your nominated family members or carers directly. When the button is pressed or a fall is detected, the device sends an SMS with a Google Maps location link to up to five nominated contacts, then calls them in sequence until someone answers. If you prefer a professional response, 24/7 monitoring is available as an optional add-on - trained operators connect via two-way call and can assess the situation and coordinate help from family, carers, or emergency services.
How does the KISA Personal Alarm differ from KISA Guardian?
Both devices include emergency SOS alerting, GPS location sharing, and automatic fall detection. The KISA Guardian is specifically designed for Australians aged 65 and over receiving Support at Home services and meets the aged care compliance standards required for AT-HM funding. The KISA Personal Alarm is available for direct private purchase and does not require a Support at Home assessment or care plan. If you are buying privately and are not on a government care program, the Personal Alarm is a straightforward option. If you have a Support at Home plan and want the device funded through it, the KISA Guardian is the appropriate choice.
Can the Personal Alarm be funded through NDIS or Support at Home?
If you are 65 or over and have a Support at Home plan, the KISA Guardian is the device approved for AT-HM funding. For NDIS participants under 65, the KISA Companion is the approved assistive technology device. The KISA Personal Alarm is a privately purchased product. Speak with the KISA team if you are unsure which device or funding pathway applies to your situation.
How does the KISA Personal Alarm help day to day?
The biggest change most users notice is not in emergencies - it is in everyday confidence. Knowing that help is always one button press away makes it easier to go about a normal day: working in the garden, going for a walk, or simply moving around the house without the anxiety of being alone if something goes wrong. For families, it means they can go about their own day without constant worry. The alarm is worn on a lanyard so it is always within reach, and because it works anywhere on the 4G network, that confidence does not stop at the front door.
