KISA's built-in fall detection

KISA’s Guardian or Personal Alarm both feature built-in GPS tracking, enabling location visibility.
Only authorised contacts and the account holder can access this information securely via the MyKISA Portal or MyKISA App. This means you can check in remotely, locate your loved one when needed, and respond quickly in emergencies.

Common Questions About Support at Home and Home Care Package
Is KISA Guardian approved for the Support at Home program?
Yes. KISA Guardian is an approved device under the Australian Government's Support at Home program (formerly the Home Care Package program). Eligible seniors can use their government subsidy to fund the KISA Guardian device and its associated monitoring and safety services.
Can I use a Home Care Package to pay for a personal alarm?
The Home Care Package (HCP) program was replaced by the Support at Home program from 1 July 2025. Under the Support at Home program, the KISA Guardian can be funded through the Assistive Technology, Home Modifications and Equipment (AT-HM) budget. If you previously had a Home Care Package, you will have been transitioned to the Support at Home program. Contact KISA or your care coordinator to discuss funding your KISA Guardian.

Is the Support at Home program the same as the Home Care Package?
The Support at Home program replaced the Home Care Package (HCP) program from 1 July 2025. The new program works similarly - eligible seniors receive a government subsidy to purchase approved assistive technology and support services, including the KISA Guardian personal alarm. What budget category covers personal alarms under Support at Home?
The KISA Guardian is funded under the Assistive Technology, Home Modifications and Equipment (AT-HM) budget within the Support at Home program.
