KISA devices feature built-in GPS tracking, meaning you always know where your loved ones are, especially if they are at risk of wandering or getting lost.
Low Battery Warning
An SMS can be sent to a nominated family member indicating that the KISA device battery is low. This eliminates the stress of the end user having to worry about when to charge the KISA device.
SOS Position Locator
As part of the SOS service, KISA devices can include an embedded link to the GPS position, sent as an SMS when an SOS function is activated.

Fall Detection - Safety
If you have an accident, a fall, or any other emergency, KISA devices can alert others and reach out for help. They can detect that you've taken a hard fall and connect you with your nominated contact or emergency services if you're immobile.
If it detects a fall, your KISA device will alert up to 5 contacts by text and voice call. The contacts can see the wearer's location on Google Maps and talk to them through the device's built-in speaker and microphone.

It does not have a screen and keypad that can be hard to see or use, but a simple physical interface with a few buttons. It also comes in different languages and colour schemes, including a Braille version for those who are blind. It also has a GPS Tracking service that can help locate the user in case of emergency or need, which can be accessed by only nominated people. All numbers are pre-programmed, and contact buttons can be labelled with a picture, making it usable even to people who cannot read.
You can call your friends and family with a single button. Each button on the KISA device has a clear text or photo label of the person you want to call. Just press the button and the phone will dial the number for you.
You can use the dedicated SOS button on the back of the KISA device to call emergency services. The SOS button also sends a text message with your location to your emergency contacts.

The GPS features of the Device also make it easier to locate a missing child or an elderly relative.
You can charge your KISA device using the charger and cradle that are included in the package. The battery life of your KISA device depends on how often you use it and the network coverage in your area. On average, the battery lasts up to 10 days on standby and up to 3 hours of talk time.
The KISA device is 59mm wide, 114mm tall, and weighs only 95 grams. This makes it comfortable to handle and carry around, even on a lanyard around your neck.
You can customize your KISA device by choosing the number and layout of buttons, the text or photo labels, the color and design of the case, and the language and voice of the phone.
You can also add your critical information, such as medical conditions, allergies, medications, etc., to the back of the phone.
To update the phone numbers on your KISA device, you have two options:
- Log in to your MyKISA customer portal or MyKISA app and make the changes online.
- Call our customer support team at 1300 557 453 and ask them to do it for you.
However, once your KISA device is manufactured, the names and photos on the buttons are fixed and cannot be changed by yourself. If you want to change them later, you will need to:
- Send the KISA device back to our office
- Pay a fee for us to remanufacture it with the new names and photos.
